Wit, Wisdom and Whining

Nothing is worse for your self-esteem than motherhood.

"Mama, there's a crack in my wall." - the munchkin. And you know what, there is!
"When's your expiration date?" - my 4 yr old munchkin to her brother
"You are the best worst Mommy ever!" - my 6 yr old son

Annie: Okay, I'm no longer a girl. Not in body, anyway. I'm noone special or particularly gifted in any way, except to my kids. To them, I'm mommy, dictator or superhero - depending on the day or hour or minute...well, you get the point. My gaming, Star Wars loving son has freed my inner geek allowing me to enjoy the things I pushed aside for years. So I guess you can add GeekMom to my resume. I'm a 24/7 mom that works full-time. I'm a trained Chef that only gets the pleasure of cooking for pleasure when there is time - in other words, not nearly enough. Aside from food, I love music and appreciate good beer. And my dream is to wake up and go to sleep each day to the sound of the ocean.
